Bird watching IN NORWAY

What is more natural than welcoming you to Norway than a Fieldfare nesting on a Trolls head?

Tekstboks: Thank you for visiting Bird Watching In Norway. Covering over a 100 sites, it is the most comprehensive list of Norwegian birding localities in the world. If you are a bird watcher, I am sure you will find something of interest. For your information, the site is divided into two main sections, and covers all the counties. The counties are then broken down into municipal council regions, or areas that are known for their rich bird life. Here you may find a detailed description, or just a plain simple species list. It is the intention of this website to help the visiting birdwatcher under the motto " Some information is better than no information". As most birders visit Norway during the warmer months, the species that are mentioned reflect this. And lastly the maps. You will find a link to a map under the “How To Get There” section. The maps are based on a place name that is mentioned in the text. The idea is to give you a rough idea of what area you are looking for. If you zoom in and out on the maps, then you will get an even better idea of where you are heading.
As one would expect with such a large site, not all regions are covered, but Bird Watching In Norway is being continually updated. There is however at least one site in every county, making it possible for you to find birds no matter where you are in the country. If however you need specific information on a certain area, please feel free to send me an e-mail.
At the moment I am up-dating the accommodation sections on the website. If you need any help finding a place to stay, please send me an e-mail. I really hope that you find the information you are looking for. This site would not be possible without the help of my sponsors, please support them. I would like to thank my good friends and fellow bird watchers Jan Kåre Ness, Morten Kersbergen and Frode Falkenberg for the use of some of their great photographs.
Best wishes and good birding,
Eddie Chapman
